A MixMeals original, these grain free brownies are moist, firm and chewy. No one will suspect how healthy this treat is! These brownies are densely nutritious - the ground flax adds plant based omega-3s, the lentils bring minerals and protein, and both are rich in dietary fiber.

Brown lentils

If lentils are uncooked, boil 
1 cup Brown lentils
for 15 - 20 minutes, and drain.​
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While oven preheats, place 
2 tbsp Coconut oil
​in an oven safe dish to liquify.
In a blender or food processor, add cooked lentils, liquified coconut oil, 
2 tbsp Milk
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
and blend until smooth. 
In a large mixing bowl, combine the liquid mixture with the 
1/2 cup Ground flax
2 Eggs
1/4 cup Cocoa powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Brown sugar
​and mix well.
Grease a 9x9" baking dish, or 5x9" bread pan, and pour batter in.
Bake for 35 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out cleanly.
